I was invited by Samuel Herbert, course leader of both Foundation Fine Art Degree and Fine Art Professional Development courses, to deliver an Artist's Talk. Sam had collaborated very successfully with the Bank Street Residency in 2016 and has since been invited and agreed to come back to collaborate in summer 2017.
The main objective of the presentation was to showcase the Artist Residency I had set up and project led in Canary Wharf. I gave an overview of last year's residency and was looking to promote this year's forthcoming residency. Over a period of two hours I used a PowerPoint Presentation to allow the audience of Graduates engaged on the Fine Art Professional Development course to understand what the ethos of the residency was and how it may help them develop. I interacted with the artists by asking questions during the presentation. I also made the slide show relevent to their professional development by adding salient points. I also allowed for opportunity to engage with a Q & A session at the end.
Feedback was very positive and I am confident that I will be receiving applications from some of the audience.
